Chrystia Freeland is a Canadian politician and journalist who currently serves as the Deputy Prime Minister of Canada and the Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs. She was born and raised in Alberta, Canada, but also spent some of her childhood in the United States and Ukraine. Freeland has a strong educational background, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Russian history and literature from Harvard University and a Master’s degree in Slavic studies from St Antony’s College, Oxford.
